Cornelius Sheehan, LCSW

Con is a licensed clinical social worker, a certified EFT therapist and supervisor, and a supervisor of clinical social work interns. He is the founder and director of Emotional and Relationship Health Associates in Reno. ERHA is a small, collaborative group of highly trained attachment-based therapists. All are dedicated to a positive impact on our community by helping the couples, individuals, families they work with feel more hopeful and more connected.

In 2004, Con was a primary developer of a novel, in-custody, inmate treatment program at the Washoe County Detention Facility. Through this work and a busy outpatient schedule over years he developed a deepened understanding of the intrapsychic, relational and systemic factors behind his clients’ distress- and behind what helped them get well.

He has continually had the privilege of serving in an advisory capacity for various organizations including currently, to the Advisory Committee for a Resilient Nevada (ACRN). He is also the founder and director of the Reno/Tahoe Community for Emotionally Focused Therapy (RCEFT). RCEFT exists to enhance the quality of and access to Emotionally Focused Therapy in Northern Nevada. Continued learning, whether as a CE provider, consultant or student is one of the things he loves most about his work. He has the great fortune of brilliant colleagues, many of whom are friends and a few of whom are beloved mentors, locally and around the world.
